Dr. Shruti Singh is an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy
Department at Oregon Institute of Technology, with research interests in renewable energy
systems, smart grids, and energy-efficient microgrid control. She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical &
Computer Engineering from the University of Denver. She has led federally funded projects
through NSF and NREL that explore consensus-based control, cost-effective microgrid
deployment, and economic dispatch-based solutions for efficient smart grids. Dr. Singh teaches
courses in Digital Circuits, Microprocessor, Embedded Systems, Electric Power Systems,
Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, and Control Systems. In addition to teaching and research, she
is passionate about mentoring students and preparing them for careers at the intersection of
technology and sustainability through hands-on and interdisciplinary projects. Her work aims to
bridge technical and real-world applications to build resilient, sustainable energy solutions. Dr.
Singh is an active member of IEEE, ASEE, and SWE.
